Patty Bradway grew up on a small Minnesota farm where her parents instilled in her the values
of hard work, integrity, and responsibility. As the ninth of eleven children, she learned early the
importance of teamwork, determination, and speaking up for what’s right—skills that shaped her
lifelong commitment to serving others.
Both of Patty’s parents were college graduates—her mother a nurse and her father a music
education teacher—who emphasized the importance of education. Following their example,
Patty and all her siblings earned college degrees and built lives rooted in integrity, faith, and
service.
Following in her mother’s footsteps, Patty earned her nursing degree from the University of
Minnesota. She spent 31 years serving as a cardiac nurse at the University of Minnesota
Hospital, later became a Licensed School Nurse in ISD 624, and today works as a sonographer at
a Pregnancy Medical Resource Center.
Throughout her career, Patty has seen firsthand how education, compassion, and access to
quality care can transform lives. She believes that knowledge empowers people to make better
choices and build stronger communities. Patty’s deep concern for the well-being of all
Minnesotans—regardless of age, race, creed, or background—guides her commitment to serve
the residents of House District 36B.
Married for 35 years, Patty and her husband are proud parents of three adult children whose
families are now growing as well. Stability and practicality have always been cornerstones of
Patty’s life—values she will bring to her work for all Minnesota families.
Patty remembers when Minnesota was known for its high educational standards, safe
communities, and strong family values—a place where people were proud to live and raise their
families. But today, Minnesota’s children are falling behind in nearly every measurable K–12
academic category. Crime has surged in the Twin Cities—much of it involving our youth. Fraud
and government waste have exploded across state agencies and programs, costing taxpayers
billions while undermining trust in our institutions. The rising cost of living is forcing families to
make painful choices between rent, groceries, gas, and medications. Our state’s tax burden
remains among the highest in the nation, and Democrats in Minnesota have once again failed to
deliver full Social Security tax relief for our seniors.
Patty believes Minnesotans deserve better. She’s running to restore common-sense
leadership—leadership rooted in stability, accountability, and integrity. With decades of
experience in healthcare, a lifetime of service, and a deep concern for her community, Patty is
ready to bring honesty, transparency, and practical solutions back to the Capitol on behalf of the
residents of House District 36B Minnesotans deserve better leadership—leadership rooted in stability, accountability, and common sense.
